How to Use the Document Resize Tool
Step 1: Click the upload box and select your photo or document (JPG, JPEG, PNG or PDF).
Step 2: Optionally set the Width, Height, Unit and DPI if you need an exact dimension.
Step 3: Enter the Min Size and Max Size in KB – this is required so the tool knows the exact file size range to target.

Why File Size Range Matters
Most government portals such as PAN card correction, Aadhaar update, e-KYC forms, exam application forms and passport applications specify a strict file size range for photo and signature uploads – for example, between 10 KB and 20 KB, or between 20 KB and 50 KB. Uploading a file outside this range often causes the form to reject your document. This tool automatically compresses your file so its final size falls within the exact range you specify.
Understanding Width, Height and DPI (Optional)
Width and Height: Set the exact dimensions in Pixels, Centimeters or Inches if the portal specifies a fixed photo size (for example 3.5cm x 4.5cm for passport-size photos).
DPI: Dots Per Inch is used to convert Centimeter or Inch values into pixels accurately for print-quality output. If left blank, a standard 96 DPI is used.
Both fields are optional – if you only care about the final file size and not the exact dimensions, you can leave Width, Height and DPI blank and fill only the required Min/Max size in KB.
